The new repository site is now open!

“Hiroshima University Institutional Repository” has moved to the new site due to the system migration.

　URL of the new site: https://hiroshima.repo.nii.ac.jp/

All requests for registration after February 2025 are registered only on the new site.

The new site has several problems, and we are currently investigating the causes.

　・It takes 40 seconds to open the site.
　・Some data is not displayed (click here for details).

We are currently receiving many requests and it is taking some time to register.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Temporary Suspension of Academic Content Registration to HU Institutional Repository

Due to system migration, the registration of academic content (new releases, updates, etc.) to the Hiroshima University Institutional Repository will be temporarily suspended.  
 
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and we appreciate your kind understanding.

Period of Content Registration Suspension:
February 3, 2025 (Monday) - February 28, 2025 (Friday): Scheduled
Browsing and searching will remain available during the suspension period.

Registration requests will be accepted from February 3, 2025 (Monday) onward.  
We will process them sequentially once the system migration is complete. The schedule for the repository release under the new system will be announced at a later date.

Please note that the schedule is tentative, and we will inform you of any changes as soon as possible.

Interlibrary Loan/Copy (ILL) service during the Winter vacation

Hiroshima University Library will be closed during the Winter vacation according to the following schedule.

 　December 28, 2024 - January 5, 2025

Therefore, requests for photocopying and borrowing books between Friday, December 27 and Sunday, January 5 will be processed from Monday, January 6.
Please note that requests for express delivery and EDDS will be processed in the order of application.

Since many other libraries will still be closed due to New Year's holidays, it may take longer than usual for orders to arrive.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

[Nov. 29 - Mar. 25] Notice of Toilets’ Maintenance and Renovation

There will restroom renovation work at the Central, West, and East Libraries as mentioned in the schedule below. 
Please note that construction work may cause noise and power outages.  
Additionally, there are substitute restrooms might be unavailable due to water shutoffs.  
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

 
Details of the Construction Period:
Friday, November 29, 2024 - Tuesday, March 25, 2025 
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM


Scheduled Restroom Closure Periods
 *Dates may vary depending on construction progress

Central Library:
Monday, December 9 - Wednesday, December 11, and Friday, December 13, 2024
Thursday, February 27 - Tuesday, March 4, 2025

West Library:
Monday, December 16 - Wednesday, December 19, and Tuesday, December 24 - Wednesday, December 25, 2024
Wednesday, February 12 - Friday, February 14, and Wednesday, March 5 - Friday, March 7, and Monday, March 10, 2025 
*The library will be closed on Thursday, February 13

East Library:
Thursday, December 26 - Friday, December 27, 2024, and Tuesday, January 7, 2025
Tuesday, March 18 - Wednesday, March 19, and Monday, March 24 - Tuesday, March 25, 2025

Power Outages for Electrical Work:  
*Details will be announced on our website once confirmed

Construction Locations:
Central and West Libraries: Restrooms on floors 1-3
East Library: Restrooms on floors 2-3
 
Reasons:
Renovation of traditional Japanese-style toilets to Western-style toilets

11/2（Sat）Notice of Temporary Library Closure 

Heavy rain warnings have been issued for both Hiroshima City and Higashihiroshima City.
At the discretion of the library director, the opening hours will be changed as follows. (as of 8:20)

Kasumi Library/Higashi Senda Library:Closed all day
*Kasumi Library is open 24 hours a day, but will close as soon as preparations are complete.

Central Library, West Library, East Library: Normally open
