This database enables you to search articles in the paper by "Yomiuri Shinbun" since 1874.

The archive has several sections.
Articles from 1874 to 1989 are contained as high-quality scans of the pages, as they originally appeared. Articles after 1986 onward are contained in a convenient text view, as well as a clipping view of the original article. The Japan News catalogs articles that appeared in our English publication. Contemporary Who’s Who offers the ability to search for individuals to retrieve their biographical data as well as pertinent articles. And finally, regional articles and pages from the period of 1933 to 2001 can be found as page images in the optional Regional Sections (Showa Era) feature.

Maruzen e-Book Library (MARUZEN-YUSHODO)
This is a platform that provides e-books (electronic books) specializing in academic books for institutional users such as universities. 
You can read the full text of over 4,000 electronic books via Hiroshima University.

The user guide is available here. Please also refer to the video version of the user guide.
Single sign-on is required when logging in from outside the school.

By following the prescribed procedures, you can also download electronic books. However, the following acts are strictly prohibited:
  1. Downloading more than the maximum number of pages displayed on the 'Print/Save' screen per person per title.
  2. Using the downloaded file for purposes other than the research and study purposes of the person who downloaded it.
  3. Sharing, transferring, circulating, or redistributing the downloaded file within a laboratory, company, group, etc., or to a third party.
  4. Jointly downloading more than the maximum number of pages of one title by multiple people.
    (For example, it is prohibited to borrow someone else's email address and download more than the limit.)
  5. Reproducing or modifying on other media without the permission of the copyright holder.
  6. Regardless of the reason or purpose, circumventing the technical protection measures or technical restrictions used in this service or electronic books, such as removing, changing, disabling, etc.
  7. Performing interlibrary loans or document copying services (so-called interlibrary loans, etc.) for other institutions.
  8. Anything else that is prohibited in the terms of use.
In addition, authentication using an email address is required when executing a download and when viewing a downloaded file.

If unauthorized use in violation of the above has been confirmed, restrictions will be implemented for the entire university.

NDL Digitial Collections (National Diet Library)
This is a service that allows you to search and view digital materials collected and stored at the National Diet Library. 

◆By registering as a user of the National Diet Library, you can view and print (print out) digital materials that are difficult to obtain due to being out of print.

For some contents, it is necessary to use the "Digitized Contents Transmission Service for Libraries". Please refer to here for this service.

TOC Premier (EBSCOhost)
TOC Premier provides access to the most up-to-date table of contents information for over 24,000 journals. The more than 25 million records in the citation-only database include: records created by EBSCO Publishing offering proprietary data dating back to 1995, with citations for some titles dating back to the 1960's and 1970's; records from the EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service (EJS), some of which date back to the early 1980's; and records licensed from British Library Document Supply Centre, covering the entire 26,000 title collection, dating back to 1993.
