24 hours opening trial at Central Library

Hiroshima University Central Library will be open 24 hours.

                                         Notice

The library is available for only Hiroshima University students and staff in this period.

Dates : Sunday, November 24 20:00 - Friday, November 29 24:00
           (Please check in detail at a Calendar(PDF, 36KB))

The security guard goes around and asks for showing your student or staff ID card.

Student ID card (blue) or staff ID card (green) is required to enter and exit. People who do not have the University ID card are not able to use the library in the nights.

Attention : Available only in the reading area.
(Library services are not available.)

How to entrance and exit : 
An entrance and exit system is on the left side door beside an entrance. You have to touch your student or staff ID card to enter or exit the library.

Kasumi Library is now partially for Renovation work.
(Scheduled from September to December 2019)

[About the partial opening in Kasumi Library]

・There is no seat to study in Kasumi Library.
・You can use the materials below on BIBLA-Kasumi, and borrow only books.
・Please leave your Hiroshima university ID card at the library counter when enter BIBLA-Kasumi. Please do not forget your ID card.
・You cannot enter BIBLA-Kasumi with big baggages like bags.
・All services are unavailable for visitors during Renovation work.

・The books borrowed in three years
・The books for Japanese national examination for medical practitioners
・Medical guideline
・New books (bought in 2019)
・Current journals and back numbers after January 2019
・Newspapers after May 2019

Please ask at the counter if you need other materials. It will cost and take time to be mailed from outside the university.

・Inter-campus books delivery
・ILL copy and borrowing request
・Receiving books or journals purchased on public expense through the library

Kasumi Library is closed for facilities relocationrelated to Renovation work.

(Scheduled from August 8th toEarly September※)

The information about the services during thelibrary closing is below.

 

1. Kasumi Library items (books, journalsand newspapers) are unavailable.

 

2. Return the books you borrowed to thebook drop (available 24 hours).

 

3. Please call the library before coming toreceive books or journals purchased on public expense through the library.


4. You can request articles (on campus/outside)or the books on other Hiroshima University libraries.

 Thelibrary will inform you the date and time when you can get them in advance byE-mail (excluding Library system replacement periods).

 

 

※ End date of Kasumi Library Closing isundecided yet. It will be released on Library Calendar.

Library system replacement is scheduled inlate August. Most of Library web services will be unavailable.
