Some law journals will be moved from Central Library to Higashi-Senda Library

Since the School of Law will move to Higashi-Senda Campus in April 2023, we are going to move some law journals from Central Library to Higashi-Senda Library. The journals will be available on April 3rd in Higashi-Senda Library.

 Moving Date: February 8, 13-15

APC vouchers for articles accepted for publication in RSC journals

Hiroshima University faculty, staff, and students can use APC vouchers to make articles published in the Royal Society of Chemistry journals open access. For more details, please see below.

 

Eligible articles: Articles accepted for publication in RSC journals between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 *Gold OA journals are not eligible.

Description: Article processing charge (APC) will be waived. (Normal price: £2,500 per article).

Number of available articles: 10  *Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis; after the 11th article, payment of the regular fee is required.

Terms of use: The e-mail address "****@hiroshima-u.ac.jp" must be registered when submitting a manuscript.

Expiration date of voucher: Until December 31, 2023

About Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service during the New Year's holiday

Hiroshima University Library will be closed during the year-end and New Year's holidays according to the following schedule

  December 28, 2022 (Wed) - January 4, 2023 (Wed)

Therefore, requests for photocopying and borrowing books between 12/27 (Tue.) and 1/4 (Wed.) will be processed from 1/5 (Thu.).
Please note that requests for express delivery and EDDS will be processed in the order of application.

In addition, please check here about interlibrary loan (ILL) service suspension (2023/1/14-1/31).

About interlibrary loan(ILL) service suspension (2023/1/14-1/31)

【Important notice】
Interlibrary loan(ILL) service will be suspended as below.
   Period of suspension: from January 14th to 31th, 2023.
Please apply your ILL request by January 13th, 2023.

Nationwide ILL support system will be suspended from Jan. 23th to 31th, 2023. 
Therefore, accepting ILL requests from other libraries may be stopped ahead of schedule at many academic libraries. 
From Jan. 14th, we will stop accepting requests for photocopies and books from libraries in Japan by HU students, faculty and staff.
So please place your request as soon as possible.

Notice: 
 1) You can order via web service etc. during this period, but your requested material from other university libraries will be arrived at February, 2023.
 2) Please note that even if you apply your request by Jan. 13th, the materials may be arrived at February, 2023.
 3) The express mail is not acceptable, even if you choose it.


Delivery from other campus (reservation and photocopy request) will be available as usual during this period.
